Botox/Xeomin/Dysport before and after care instructions
___No Ingestion of alcoholic beverages prior to treatment can increase the chances of bruising and/or swelling.
___No anti-inflammatory drugs (Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, Vioxx, etc.), aspirin, Vitamin E, or Ginko Biloba one week prior to treatment. This will reduce the possible side effects of bruising and/or swelling in area(s) of treatment.
___You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding to receive treatment, You cannot be allergic to eggs or egg products to receive treatment.
___Do not lie down or do strenuous exercise for 4 hours following treatment., Do not massage or rub the treated areas for 24 hours following treatment.
___Microdermabrasion, microcurrent, chemical Peel facial, any laser treatments, can be performed the same day but prior to your Botox® treatment. (wait 4-6 weeks)
___Facial exercises (squint/frown/smile) are strongly recommended in the treated area for one hour after injection.
___ By following the above measures you will minimize the occurrence of ptosis (droopy eyelids), bruising, and less than optimal outcomes
___. It is possible that you may experience a headache and flu-like symptoms for approximately 24–48 hours. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) may be taken for relief
___Common side effects include a slight headache lasting a few hours up to 48 hours, and temporary bruising and/or swelling. The redness and marks on the treated areas will likely disappear within a few hours or may last up to 1 week after treatment.
___ Botox /Xeomin /Dysport Cosmetic can take up to two weeks for full effect. If you feel that you would desire more relaxation of the muscles treated, we will address this at your 1 week follow up appointment.

___Benefits of treatment may last 3 to 5 months; the average is 4 months, It is important that your muscle activity recovers but your skin is not creasing to the point where you started.
___Please inform the office if the resolution of the lines has not taken effect in 10 days. Additional unit of Botox may be necessary to achieve desired result.
___Follow up treatments should be scheduled prior to return of full movement of muscle, usually at three months. To achieved optimal results, you will need to repeat Botox treatments when you notice recurrent muscle activity and crinkling of the skin.
___Consistent repeated treatments will produce the best resolution of wrinkles., and the duration of each treatment result may last longer than 4 months
